::first performance

the induction week for the juniors had come to the end…you guys had done a good job…yeah! the climax for the induction week – SAMURAI !!!! – opss….can’t tell you much about it…it’s one of our biggest secret…hehe! actually, for tonight, we had the batch anniversary dinner at the Great Hall..and we ate our chicken chop there instead in the dining hall. we, the juniors had to entertain the seniors after the meal. with only one day of preparation and extremeful training sessions, the seniors congratulate us for doing a great job! they said this is even better than theirs for the last year’s anniversary dinner. we had 4 performances on stage…..first is the dancing team. It was quite amazing to see my friends perform well and not too bad for the last minute preparation. They dance according to Madonna’s Hung Up song…and guess what. i’m one the technicians who did the sound systems job, controling the curtain and so on. i sat in the control room just above the main Great Hall entrance. the technical team -me, kelvin, ming yao, rodhi, vishnu and the others had to learn how to control those complex audio and lighting stuffs in less than 24 hours, and we managed to do it good. at least there’s no major mistakes happened during the performance..hehe!

second, the dikir barat team performed their song..and there were toooooooo many students want to be kelantanese…hehe. there’s about 60 students join the dikir barat team, complete with the percussionists. not bad at all…but the seniors said that they sang too slow…not worth it compared with gallons of people on the stage. led by Bas (he’s a kelantanese, of course). i can’t remember the title of the song….sorry!

and for the third performance, we had the ‘wayang kulit’ extra large verion. using a large white cloth, we make it as a wayang kulit curtain…with students action behind the white cloth…just like the traditional wayang kulit. the story……..hahahahaha…so hilarious. they told about the history of Mahsuri, but in a funnier and cencored way…hehe! kyuemians know what it was like..trully funny.

and for the last, all of us sang our batch song to the seniors, Standing In The Eyes Of The World. we gathered and surrounded the seniors, with almost all the lights off, and only lumination from the torch lights (and handphones) .not to forget, we also sang their batch song, Warisan (Allahyarham Sudirman). we enjoyed ourselves during the night, and thanks for the seniors for joining us singing those two songs!

being a beginner technician (it differs when i’m in school) is exhausting though, and we had to starve!i ate my dinner at 12 am..huhuhu…normal lah!

hi guys..

wahh…days and days with no blog posts. don’t assume that i’m a lasy guy but i think it’s normal..my daily schedule was packed. Full of activities.

11th July – Arrive in KYUEM. For those who still don’t know what the words stands for, it’s Kolej Yayasan UEM. Or formerly known as Kolej Matrikulasi Yayasan Saad. Located at Lembah Beringin, Selangor, midst Malaysia’s verdant uplands.

The induction week lasts for one week…and this is my sixth day with new friends throughout Malaysia. My chaletmates are so nice…one is Naim, from Selangor, and there’s Raja, an indian guy from Perak. Another unexpected coincidence, Mat Shah also stay in my chalet. Imagine what will happen in this small, peaceful home.

OMG!! tomorrow will be the registration day at my college! i got lots of stuffs to bring with..and it looks like to move into a new house…haha. but i still have to buy certain things…it’s not enough yet. especially FOOD STOCKS! i don’t want to starve horribly there! hope i can cope with the new environment which is totally different from what i had ever met before-there’s nothing much in school compared with the new life in college-means i have to struggle even harder to survive there.

got another person who will be joining me at KYUEM. it’s Fatin Nabihah- i got the news from Mat Shah…dunno it’s true or not. just wait and see tomorrow! so, there will be four SESMA students at that college (the juniors’ batch) waaaaa….so good. but now i still didn’t get any news from my previous primary schoolmates…hmmm…maybe i’ll meet some other friends there unexpectedly  tomorrow.

and there will be no more JPA scholars who will be sent to this college from this year onwards…why? in fact, most students in KYUEM are JPA scholarship holders. maybe JPA wants to cut cost because of the high college fee..hmmm.

the ‘grand’ letter of offer that will change my future…=p

::what?? a doctor??

Posted in M.C.B.O.D.C.K Originals on 5 July 2006 by afabakar

huahuahua…i kept pausing my posts recently..i’m becoming lazy to get connected hahaha. today i went to Kuala Terengganu General Hospital for a doctoring programme sponsored by Yayasan Terengganu….and this programme started from yesterday. After the english camp a few week ago, we were all wrapped together for the second time, this time to know and feel how the doctors  work. it seems a bit similar to Program  Kengerian for JPA medical bound students. but from what the hospital ifficer said, our batch is luckier because JPA students formed a big number of them, so they only can have minimal movements in each departments….hahaha.

at the same time, my grandmother had an operation related to her bladder at the same hospital so i had the chance to see her in the General Operation Department-not everyone can enter here unless you have the special visitor’s name tag!-Now she is in the ward at fifth floor, recovering and becoming better.

okay, let’s start from the beginning- yesterday, my parents drove me to KT General Hospital and dropped me at Kompleks Pusat Rawatan Harian..just beside the main hospital building. then i went straight to the meeting room at 2nd floor.after wandering in the building for 5 minutes-it’s barely hard to find the exact signboard to the second floor  because only the staffs are permitted to go there..and the building itself was very confusing – only half of it has the second floor…huhhuhu. i’m the latest to arrive there..huhu…late for about one hour! come on..it was a long, tiring journey to KT from besut..ahakss..

after a short briefing for the programme was given at the meeting room, we headed to the forensic department where the dead body will undergo post mortem process. we’re lucky to see one unidentified corpse there-as there’s no body available during the same programme for JPA medical students at this same hospital.

during the programme, we formed in four groups..and each group went to different departments during the slots. For the next slot, my group went to the General Operation Theatre..watched a few operations. then we headed to the maternity ward….after that to the emergency room. that’s all for the first day, from 8 am to 630 pm. we’re really exhausted because all the time we had to walk and stand..that’s what doctors do..huhuhuhu. for the second day (today), my group went to the orthopaedic OT and saw some minor operations… ///OTHER RELATED INFORMATIONS ARE PROTECTED AND WILL NOT BE SHARED WITH PEOPLE/// that’s one of the law to become a doctor. everything is a secret, private and confidental. and of course i wouldn’t tell much about it anymore. being a doctor is not my choice and will never be my choice. frankly, this is not because of this ‘useless-for-me’ programme…i can stand with all those creepy blood and some sort of like that..but it’s not my desire at all…bla…bla…bla…boring!

one more thing, i found that this programme is useless unbeneficial for engineering students like me..and it’s not me alone as there were about 7 or 8 students out of 19 who were not attached to the medical field. like or not…we have to join it. but it’s still a good oppoturnity for the juniors to know and adapt well  with the seniors-hopefully there will be not much trouble in KYUEM afterwards.
